Estonia Delivers First Mobile Hydrogen Generator to Kherson Region

October 31, 2025, Tartu (Estonia) — The company Coolergy has handed over a mobile hydrogen-powered generator, the Coolergizer, to the delegation of Ukraine’s Kherson Region led by Governor Oleksandr Prokudin. The unit is designed to provide backup power for hospitals, kindergartens, and other critical civilian infrastructure.
By the end of this winter, Coolergy plans to donate three more generators, each with a capacity of 80 kWh and an output voltage range from 27 to 360 V.
At the first stage, the generators will operate on technical-grade hydrogen supplied from Moldova and Romania, later to be replaced with green hydrogen produced by electrolysis using renewable energy sources.
In the future, the company plans to build a hydrogen production facility in Ukraine, enabling local fuel generation.
The coming winter will serve as a test period for the efficiency and reliability of the Coolergizers, during which hydrogen supply logistics will be refined, maintenance procedures adjusted, and local personnel trained.
Governor Oleksandr Prokudin thanked the Estonian partners for their support and for introducing innovative solutions aimed at strengthening the resilience of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
