ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENERGY CHALLENGES OF THE XXI CENTURY. GLOBAL PROJECTS WAYS OF IMPLEMENTATION
Considered the problem of the fuel and energy strategy of the XXI century. The diversity of the authors' approach to theoretical and applied problems of hydrogen energy has been demonstrated. The general questions of the fundamental and applied aspects of the origin of hydrogen are covered. The results of scientific developments on hydrogen mapping, carried out as part of scientific and practical prospecting and geoecological studies on more than 200 hydrocarbon objects on land (including mine fields) and in marine water areas, are given. A database of gas wells on the territory of the Dnipro-Donetsk basin has been created, in which an increased content of molecular free and dissolved hydrogen in natural gas has been established. The importance of solving the problem of geoecological processes and events in mine workings and wells, which are associated with numerous disasters, is shown. The existence of a unique complex of natural components of hydrogen technology, solar and wind energy resources and fresh waters of the Danube lakes and the Danube River is indicated. The study emphasizes the decisive role of Ukraine in the struggle for primacy in scientific developments.

Hydrogen Strategy of Ukraine: draft
The paper identifies the goals, priorities and objectives of the Hydrogen Strategy of Ukraine, stages, main actions for its implementation, as well as presents the main directions and prospects for the use of green hydrogen in Ukraine.
The indicators of the resource base of modern green hydrogen energy are determined - the energy potential of renewable energy sources and water resources, on the basis of which the optimal territories in Ukraine for the production of green hydrogen are defined.
Measures to create the prerequisites for investment attractiveness for the development of hydrogen technologies and a list of key actions and policy measures to implement the Hydrogen Strategy of Ukraine are provided.

Green Hydrogen for a European Green Deal. A 2x40 GW Initiative
This publication is initiated by Hydrogen Europe and endorsed by African Hydrogen Partnership Initiative, Ukrainian Hydrogen Council, Dii Desert Energy and EU-GCC Clean Energy Technology Network. The objective is to promote a massive increase of electrolyser production within the EU in order to support green hydrogen production.
This paper presents concrete next steps to underpin a concrete industrial roll-out. A roadmap for 40 GW electrolyser capacity in North Africa and Ukraine by 2030 includes 7,5 GW hydrogen production for the domestic market and a 32,5 GW hydrogen production capacity for export.

Draft Roadmap for production and use of hydrogen in Ukraine
The development of this Roadmap has been requested by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and was supported by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) within the framework of the project “Improving capacity of the Government of Ukraine to develop infrastructure for production and use of hydrogen to support green post-covid-19 recovery” funded by the Regular Programme for Technical Cooperation (RPTC).
The Roadmap focuses on how hydrogen and fuel cell technologies could be initially rolled out in the country by presenting a series of applications that could be initially deployed in some locations and could be scaled up in the future. This Roadmap also focuses on some of the technology risks, implementation challenges, and knowledge gaps that are emerging.
The Energy Association “Ukrainian Hydrogen Council” also contributed to the report.

White Paper «Offshore wind energy and green hydrogen: new frontiers of Ukraine's energy potential»
The White Paper analyses the potential for offshore wind energy development in Ukraine, as well as the use of wind energy for the production of green hydrogen. The authors have presented convincing arguments in favor of the development of this energy sector and have suggested relevant changes to the Ukrainian legislation to facilitate investments in offshore wind energy and production of "green" hydrogen.
The White Paper is published by Asters, Ukrainian Wind Energy Association and Ukrainian Hydrogen Council with the support of the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
