The new President of the Energy Association "Ukrainian Hydrogen Council" is Polina Kazakevych

On April 19, 2023, a meeting of the Energy Association "Ukrainian Hydrogen Council" took place, during which Polina Kazakevych was elected as the President of the association.

 

Since January 2021, Polina Kazakevych has held the position of Vice President of the Energy Association "Ukrainian Hydrogen Council". The newly elected President is a candidate of legal sciences and an associate professor with experience in the executive and judicial authorities of Ukraine, as well as representing the state in international organizations. She is also an adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

Polina Kazakevych has over 10 years of experience working on international technical assistance projects, more than 20 scientific publications, and 1 monograph on the relationship between international and national law.

The new President of the association expressed her intention to continue developing partnership relations with world leaders in the hydrogen industry and to promote Ukraine as an important participant in the international hydrogen-energy market. In her opinion, the development of hydrogen energy can become a decisive factor in ensuring Ukraine's energy security, reducing dependence on imported energy, and achieving carbon emissions reduction goals.

In turn, former President Oleksandr Riepkin joined the association's board and will focus on promoting the interests of Ukrainian companies abroad, searching for new financial opportunities for domestic companies in the state and private sectors. Of particular importance is his work as a Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for economic diplomacy. During the russian military aggression, economic diplomacy remains one of the most important levers for Ukraine's recovery and ensuring its energy transformation, taking into account the latest technologies in renewable energy.
