On June 8-9, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba holds the working visit to Germany.
The President of the Energy Association «Ukrainian Hydrogen Council» Oleksandr Riepkin is a member of the Ukrainian delegation chaired by the Minister.
The focus of bilateral meetings is among others on the following issues:
• strengthening the energy partnership between Ukraine and Germany
• Germany is a candidate country for the leadership in hydrogen technology.
Strengthening the energy partnership between Ukraine and Germany was the focus of a meeting with the the State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy Andreas Feicht. Separate topic was the threats of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. Dmytro Kuleba once again emphasized that this project not only undermines the energy security of Ukraine and Europe, but also splits its allies, so Ukraine will continue to oppose its launch.
It will also be recalled that in August 2020 in Berlin, the Head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier signed a Joint Statement on the launch of the energy partnership between Ukraine and Germany.
