The Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation was signed with the Interfactional Union "Clean Energy – Healthy Environment" and leading associations in the RES sectors

Today, on the 5th of March, within the framework of the press briefing, given by the Economic Recovery Center, the Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation was signed with the Interfactional union of people’s deputies “Clean Energy – Healthy Environment” in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ІХ convention, the Energy Association "Ukrainian Hydrogen Council", the Association "Ukrainian Renewable Energy Association" (UAWE), the Public Union "Ukrainian Wind Energy Association" (UWEA) and the Association "European-Ukrainian Energy Agency".

The Memorandum was signed within the framework of the press-briefing, given by the Economic Recovery Center, where co-chairs of the interfactional union and chairs of the relevant leading RES associations took part. During the press-briefing the participants also discussed urgent issues of development of renewable energy in Ukraine and key directions of joint effort within the framework of the Memorandum signed.

The purpose of the memorandum is to unite the efforts of the Parties to assist, in the manner established by legislation, in development of renewable energy sources and protection of environment and distribution of technologies using renewable energy sources, development and implementation of state strategies and policies aimed at achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Ukraine, performance of the Energy Strategy of Ukraine for the period till 2035, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 605-р (r) dated August 18, 2017.

Transition to new energy resources, one of which is hydrogen, gives huge opportunities and challenges, as the competition is high. The concepts, which were adopted almost in all the countries of the European Union, mean that this topic is really urgent. We hope that in our profession and expert environment we will find support with our legislative authority”, - noted Oleksandr Riepkin, the President of the Energy Association “Ukrainian Hydrogen Council”, during the press briefing.
